We manufacture aluminium connector terminals to customer order
As a company, we continuously adapt our portfolio to the needs of our customers and developments in the market. We started as a specialist for brass machining and have optimised the broaching process for the requirements of electrical engineering in the course of our company history. A few years ago, we expanded our product portfolio to include drawing parts made of aluminium alloys.
This material is increasingly becoming the focus of electrical engineering suppliers due to its attractiveness in terms of price in conjunction with the required electrical conductivity. At HORA eTec, we have aluminium connector terminals manufactured according to customer-specific requirements in our worldwide production network. Our focus is on the processing of 6000 series aluminium alloys. These can be easily pressed, drawn and processed into various profiles. This allows us to offer you the most diverse contours.
Product advantages
At HORA eTec you get aluminium know-how from a single source. We can offer you large machining capacities for your aluminium connector terminals – naturally with the best cost-effectiveness that is typical of HORA eTec.
Process chain adapted to customer requirements
Aluminium places high demands on the machining processes. HORA eTec adapts the entire process chain to the respective customer part, from the raw material through mechanical processing to surface finishing.
Due to the rapid formation of an oxide layer, the application of adhesive coatings is also complex. In this context, a so-called zincate layer is applied as an intermediate step. In order to achieve a good coating quality, it is essential to “clean” the surface in advance. Different aluminium alloys require special coordination during pre-treatment. Depending on the alloy, the degree surface contamination, the surface structure and the coating process technology, an appropriate pre-treatment must be selected.
The pre-treatment is followed by the zincate process. The zincate pickling process activates the aluminium surface and removes the natural oxide layer. A thin conductive intermediate layer is applied to prevent reoxidation of the surface until it is placed in the subsequent plating bath. This ensures optimum adhesion.
