Rotary-plate manufacturing ensures fast tooling times for plugs and sockets

For the production of the plugs and sockets, special production machines based on the rotary transfer principle are essential. At our subsidiary HORA eTec Connectivity at the production site in Eberdingen, 45 rotary transfer machines Variomatic type with nine and eleven stations are available. In India, our manufacturing partner Shiv Om Brass Industries manufactures with three, five or more stations on a rotary table. This keeps machine-hour rates low while providing small batches. Fast tooling in particular is a major advantage in this process design.

All our products are naturally subjected to testing and quality standards at European level. The production sites in Eberdingen and India are certified according to ISO 9001. At HORA eTec Connectivity, all parts pass through a 100 % inspection fully automatically.

HORA eTec intends to establish a centre of excellence for socket and plug systems at the Eberdingen site. One focus will be the production of turned parts made of lead-free brass. This is a project that HORA eTec has been working on for years. We already offer the first plugs in lead-free.
